The playspace has been installed

We are pleased to let you know that the playspace and irrigation at Birman Crescent Park has been installed.

COVID-19

While our playgrounds remain open, we encourage you to continue practicing good personal hygiene - wash your hands before and after using equipment and stay home if you are unwell.

Background - Reserve Upgrade

The existing playground and irrigation system at Birman Crescent, Flagstaff Hill reserved required replacement. The design includes replacement of the playground, upgrade to the irrigation system, refurbishment and relocation of seat and picnic setting and planting of trees for shade.

The community consultation was conducted in September 2019. The feedback received demonstrated local community support for the draft concept plan with significant feedback suggesting the inclusion of play equipment tailored to older children.

We have reflected the communities needs and initiated changes to the design by including a larger multi play platform that will encourage younger and older children to play together. With more challenging elements that younger children will be able to use as they develop whilst still appealing to a wide range of age groups. The design has also allowed for a kick around area which was an important aspect to the local community.
