When will the upgrade works be done?

It is proposed that the Clarendon Recreation Ground upgrades will be undertaken between 2022 and 2027.

The upper courts, carparks and the picnic area are planned to be upgraded between July 2022 and June 2023 with the lower courts planned for upgrading between 2026 and 2027 subject to Council approval.

Where can we park while the carparks are being upgraded?

Alternative carparking arrangements are being investigated and the community will be advised of these prior to construction commencing.

    What's happening with the courts?

The upper courts have been tidied up for the 2022 season and will be rebuilt in later in 2022 or early 2023, subject to Council approval.

Resurfacing of the lower courts has been completed to increase their longevity until they're rebuilt.

The lower courts are currently proposed to be rebuilt in 2026/27, subject to Council approval.

    Will any trees be removed?

At this stage we're not planning to remove any trees, however some trees may need to be trimmed as part of the works.

Trees that are discovered to be diseased, unhealthy or unsafe by a qualified arborist may require removal.

    What tree species are proposed?

We are proposing to use the deciduous Claret Ash for the carparks and picnic area near the Pavilion. The Claret Ash is a sterile cultivar known for its rounded form, smaller size and spectacular Autumn colour.

What's the plan for Nicolle Road stormwater?
