Mobile Food Vending Program

Mobile Food Vending represents an excellent opportunity to expand the business landscape within the City of Onkaparinga, increase visitation as well as promote the local economy. More information can be found in the document library.

SA Government Legislation

New legislation allows for Mobile Food Vendors to apply to council for a permit to operate a mobile food vending business in the council area. Under the legislation, the council must grant a permit for the purpose of a mobile food vending business. However, by adopting ‘location rules’ council is able to set conditions on where vendors are able to trade.

Trial Locations

Within the City of Onkaparinga, thirty (30) pre-approved sites have been selected for mobile food vendors to operate for a trial period between August 2017 and June 2019.

These locations and the relevant site specific conditions are outlined within the Mobile Food Vending Guidelines and the Pre-Approved Site Map.

As we are approaching the end of the trial period, we are seeking feedback on the Mobile Food Vending Program and pre-approved sites to help shape the Program following the trial.
