Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. We will review it and get back to you soon.

BACKGROUND

Concerns have been raised regarding the traffic speed on Kimbley Road, Onkaparinga Hills. Currently, Kimbley Road between Spriggs Road and Upper Penneys Hill Road is 80km/h.

Due to significant gradients on this road and the presence of crests, sight lines are considered to be poor at some residential accesses. We therefore considered a reduction of speed limit as necessary for Kimbley Road to improve road safety.

As the setting of speed limits fall under the delegation of Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT), we applied to DIT requesting they consider the proposal for a reduced speed limit. DIT have responded and given in principle agreement for a reduction in speed limit from 80km/h to 60km/h.

We would now like to hear feedback from the community on this proposal to reduce the speed limit to 60km/h.
