Consultation has concluded

Latest Update

In December 2018 we undertook community engagement on the potential revocation of land at 33 Candover Crescent, Huntfield Heights.

A total of eight submissions were received from the 70 people who viewed the proposal online and 42 landowners residing near the subject land who were notified directly.

A report containing all feedback received was presented to Council on 16 April 2019.

At the meeting, Council considered the feedback and resolved to continue to proceed with the process to revoke the subject land.

You can view the community engagement outcomes and council minutes in the document library.

A request will now be forwarded to the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government for approval.

Background

We sought feedback from our communities on the potential revocation and sale of land located at 33 Candover Crescent, Huntfield Heights.

As part of council's Open Space Strategic Management Plan, we have identified potential land that may not be required for community or open space requirements.

The subject land (bordered by red in the photo), was initially identified through a thorough analysis of council’s land parcels across the city. Parcels such as this one that are not being used for community or open space purposes, were identified for revocation and sale to ultimately deliver a network of high quality open spaces that meet the future needs of the community.

More detailed information can be found in our document library.

Submissions closed on 21 December 2018.
