Work is progressing well on Stage two (Button Road to Sellicks Beach Road) and we are on track for completion by August 2020, subject to favourable weather conditions.
At Justs Road the first 500m of road construction south of Norman Road was sealed the week before the Easter Break. Speed restrictions are still in place while the seal settles and we finalise driveways and swale works along this segment of road.
Beyond the rural road segment we have now completed the 500m stormwater drain as part of the Urban Section of Road approaching Sellicks Beach Road. Culverts have been installed in preparation for the new concrete bus pads and kerbing works have commenced.
Through May we will be recommencing profiling to continue concrete and kerbing works and commence construction of the new 1.5m wide footpath along the western edge of road.
Throughout May the road will continue to be open for traffic with some further changing restrictions applied as required.

Through March, profiling works were undertaken and the road pavement is now nearly complete for the 500m rural road segment from Button Road. We will finish this segment and have the road spray-sealed before the Easter break.
Works have continued on the main drainage pipe-run beyond the rural segment into the urban road area with the pipe run now approaching Tangier Boulevard.
Over the next month efforts will be focused on continuing the pipe run up Beyond Monaco Blvd and constructing the new bus stops on the eastern side of the road before we can commence the new kerb construction.
The road will continue to be open for traffic through this period with some further changing restrictions applied as required.

There was a slight delay on the road profiling due to our team encountering soft soil. This will result in the road being closed for an extra day. The road was closed on Tuesday 17 March, Wednesday 18 March and Thursday 19 March. On site signage and speed restrictions were in place and a map was provided to show the road closure location.
Work progressed well on Stage two (Button Road to Sellicks Beach Road) and we are on track for completion by August 2020, subject to favourable weather conditions.
Through early February, SA Water contractors were relocated a segment of the water main to accommodate new drainage infrastructure being installed as part of the road reconstruction.
Drainage swale work has progressed with the majority of the rural road driveway crossings completed. New drainage pipework has now commenced. Drainage is one of the first important steps in all road reconstructions.

Work progressed well and we were on track to complete Stage 1 (section between Norman Rd and Button Rd) by the end of this year, weather permitting.
So far we have:
- Reconstructed failed sections of pavement
- Widened the road
- Formalised and widened drainage swales on both sides of the road
- Resealed and line-marked completed sections
Over the next month we will be concentrating on:
- Finishing the current section of road
- Commencing work at the Button Road intersection
- Installing road safety barriers at the Button Road intersection and around the culvert crossing south of Norman Road.
You may have noticed that the road pavement is being reconstructed in sections. This is to allow us to keep the road operational during the works.

To reduce community impacts, the construction methodology for Stage 1 of Justs Road was changed from a full road closure to a part road closure.
This has meant that work to reconstruct this section will be extended until the end of the year.
