Consultation has concluded

Work is now complete

Thanks to the community for their patience while we delivered this important project.

We will return to plant some trees soon.

Work consisted of:

  • upgrading the footpath where required
  • Storm water system work
  • new kerbs and gutters
  • new road pavement
  • upgrading the street scape planting

Background information

We sought community feedback about the proposed work, and any local knowledge of the area to assist the success of the road reconstruction and minimise inconvenience for residents during the work.

    Please park all vehicles that need to be used on these days on nearby streets the day prior.

    Sat 6th, Mon 8th, Tues 9th and Wed 10th of Feb - driveways and footpath will be reinstated to the Northern side of Braemar Ave.

    Between Monday the 15th and Thursday 18th of February Braemar Ave will be closed to all cars including residents due to major excavation and reinstatement works. Access to properties will only be by foot.

    Between 7am on the 25th and 5pm on the 26th of February both roads will be closed to all cars including residents due to asphalt placement.

    We are determined to minimise disruption to community members and apologise for any inconvenience the work may cause. If you require any assistance with access to your property (e.g. help with groceries/unloading items from your car) please advise us in advance and we will endeavour to facilitate access.

    A security company is still patrolling the surrounding streets multiple times throughout the night.

    Friday the 29th of January - kerbing and driveway inverts will be installed on the Northern side of Braemar Ave.

    Monday 1st – Wednesday 3rd of Feb - driveways and footpath will be reinstated to the Northern side of Braemar Ave.

    Between Monday the 1st and Wednesday 3rd of February Argyle Ave will be closed to all cars including residents due to major excavation and reinstatement works. Access to properties will only be by foot.

    Between Monday the 8th and Wednesday 10th of February Braemar Ave will be closed to all cars including residents due to major excavation and reinstatement works. Access to properties will only be by foot.

    On the 17th of February both roads will be closed due to asphalt placement.

    Things are tracking well with the stormwater now complete and work starting on the road and footpath reconstruction of Argyle Avenue.

    We'll continue working on Argyle Avenue and start on Braemar after Christmas.

    We are on track to complete the work in March 2021 with tree planting to follow during peak planting times in April, May and June.
