We’re committed to maintaining, operating, and renewing our roads to ensure they meet the community’s needs, as outlined in the Road Network Plan. Regular maintenance, including our Road Reconstruction Program, is vital to keeping our road network safe and reliable.

We are planning to reconstruct Alice Cresent and Carol Cresent, Morphett Vale to address significant pavement and seal defects, stormwater concerns and defective kerbing. These works are required to prevent further deterioration of the pavement layers and ensure the road and kerbing remains fit for purpose and stormwater requirements are met. The stormwater component includes incorporating new drainage pipes and side entry pits and modified kerb alignments. The kerb layout between 26 and 30 Alice Crescent will be modified to remove the existing bowl for improved stormwater management. Due to the new kerb alignment, new driveways will be constructed for the affected properties, as shown in the attached plan.

The works are planned to be undertaken within the 2025-26 financial year, subject to budget approval.

The scope of works includes:

• Complete granular road reconstruction within the current footprint.
• Replacement of defective kerbing, footpaths, and driveway inverts.
• New drainage pipes and side entry pits

During construction some temporary lane closures may be necessary, traffic management plans will be in place to minimise inconvenience and still allowing property access. We will keep you updated about specific timings and details about traffic management measures during the works via this page.

Additionally, to the above reconstruction, within the 2025-26 financial year we are planning to reseal a segment of Duval Drive, from property number 20 through to States Road.
