We’re committed to maintaining, operating, and renewing our roads to ensure they meet the community’s needs, as outlined in the Road Network Plan. Regular maintenance, including our Road Reconstruction Program, is vital to keeping our road network safe and reliable.

We are planning to reconstruct Alice Crescent and Carol Crescent, Morphett Vale to address significant pavement and seal defects, stormwater concerns and defective kerbing. This work is required to prevent further deterioration of the pavement layers and ensure the road and kerbing remain fit for purpose and stormwater requirements are met. The stormwater component includes incorporating new drainage pipes and side entry pits and modified kerb alignments. The kerb layout between 26 and 30 Alice Crescent will be modified to remove the existing bowl for improved stormwater management. Due to the new kerb alignment, new driveways will be constructed for the affected properties, as shown in the attached plan.

This project is currently scheduled to commence from February 2026 and will include the following elements:

• installation of new of stormwater pit & pipe system extending to Christine Street
• reconstruction of granular road pavement
• selected kerb and gutter replacement
• asphalt sealing

Construction will be undertaken between 7:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. It is anticipated these construction works will take up to 5 months to complete, subject to weather and events outside of Council control.

Please note, traffic and parking restrictions will be in place for the duration of works with partial road closures and detours required at different stages of construction. We will endeavor to maintain property access at all times.

To minimize any further inconvenience, we kindly request that no vehicles are parked on road within work zones by 7:00am on workdays and during construction hours.
