Update

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback. The design has now been finalised for the Callander Park upgrade.

As an outcome from the engagement, we were able to change the slide material from stainless steel to concrete. However unfortunately due to budget restraints we were unable to include any of the other suggestions from the engagement.

In additional, some other changes have been made to the design:

• new footpath from States Road through to playspace changed from rubble to asphalt.
• music instrument swapped from Babel Drum to Freechimes.
• reduced native planting area (west of the playspace).
• removed habitat education signages.

Construction is scheduled to take place during the 2024-25 financial year.

Background

In late 2023 we sought feedback on a draft concept plan that includes a path network, shelter with picnic setting and BBQ, native plantings, drinking fountain, play equipment, and a mural to the amenities block.
