This project is not open for feedback. We’re simply informing the community about the upcoming works.

This project involves the installation of approximately 412m of access control fencing along the northern boundary of the Christie Creek conservation area (Donegal Road Reserve), adjacent to Donegal Road.

The fencing will:

  • Improve the protection of sensitive conservation areas, including nationally endangered Grey Box (Eucalyptus microcarpa) woodlands.
  • Reduce vandalism, illegal dumping and damage caused by unauthorised vehicles.
  • Provide controlled access for maintenance vehicles and designated pedestrian entry points.
  • Support ongoing conservation and restoration efforts in the reserve.

Scope:

  • Installation of a 412m long rural style boundary fence: 1200mm high fence, with timber post and wire mesh.
  • Two rural style vehicle access gates:
    • Gate 1 for maintenance vehicle access
    • Gate 2 for volunteer vehicle access (ie Bush for life volunteers).
  • A pedestrian style ‘kissing gate’ to prevent vehicle or motorbike access while maintaining accessibility for walkers or hikers.

We anticipate the works to be completed anytime from late April through May with approximately 2 weeks of work to complete the project at this site, subject to weather conditions.

Updates will be provided as the project progresses.
