We’re committed to maintaining, operating, and renewing our paths and trails to ensure they meet the community’s needs. This project has been identified through inspections and a network-wide path condition audit.

This project aims to address the condition of the existing path between Bains Road and Wheatsheaf Road, ensuring it remains safe and accessible for the community. Given its role as a key route providing access to schools, as well as being an important tourist trail for walking, cycling and horse-riding enthusiasts, the renewal will enhance access and improve overall trail connectivity.

Construction is scheduled to commence the late February and will include the following elements:

  • profiling and disposal of the existing surface
  • laying of new hot mix asphalt
  • line marking
  • minor civil works
  • minor tree trimming

Works will be undertaken between 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

It is anticipated the construction works will take up to 2 weeks to complete, subject to weather and events outside of Council control.

Please note, it is advised to find alternative routes during the construction phase as there will be restricted access to the trail.
