This project is not open for feedback. We’re simply informing the community about the upcoming work.
We’re committed to maintaining, operating, and renewing our roads to ensure they meet the community’s needs. Regular work, including our Road Reconstruction Program, is vital to keeping our road network safe and reliable.
We are planning to reconstruct Delabole Road, Willunga South between Colville Road and 350m past the current end of seal to address significant pavement defects and seal defects, including shape deformation, potholes and edge breaks.
The reconstruction is necessary to prevent further pavement deterioration and ensure the road remains fit for purpose.
This project will involve a full granular road reconstruction to improve road conditions, quality, and longevity and will also include the renewal of the first 350m of the unsealed surface from the end of the seal.
Key work includes:
- Reconstruction of the sealed section to an 8.0 metre width (7 metre seal with 0.5 metre unsealed shoulders)
- Reforming and resheeting the first 430m of the adjoining unsealed section to a 6.0m width including a 90m dust seal adjacent property number 102.
During construction some temporary traffic restrictions will be necessary, traffic management plans will be in place to minimise inconvenience whilst still allowing property access.
We will keep you updated about specific timings and about traffic management measures during the works via this page.
