We’re seeking community feedback on the council’s draft Annual Business Plan (ABP) and Budget 2026-27.

The draft ABP and Budget 2026-27 outlines the projects and services prioritised for the 2026-27 financial year and the budget required to deliver them.

The draft ABP and Budget 2026-27 explains:

  • the projects earmarked for the year ahead
  • the services council will continue to deliver
  • how rates are used
  • how rates are calculated
  • how factors such as Consumer Price Index (CPI) and property values influence rates.

The council has budgeted to invest $262.42 million in 2026-27 to deliver key projects and continue providing services across the community.

The proposed general rate revenue increase for 2026-27 is 3.3%, plus growth from new properties. The increase is aligned to CPI. Currently we are using the December 2025 CPI figure for Adelaide of 3.3% and this will be updated to the March 2026 figure when it is released.

Your feedback will be considered before the draft ABP and Budget 2026-27 is finalised and presented to Council for adoption.

Engagement is open until 10 May 2026.

Have your say and learn more about how:

  • rates are used
  • rates are calculated
  • property values affect rates
  • external factors influence rates.

How can I have my say?
