Onkaparinga is growing, and we want that growth to be smart, inclusive and sustainable.
At its 16 September meeting, the council endorsed the Economic Growth & Tourism Strategic Plan 2025–2030, setting a five-year direction for how we will:
- Support local business growth
- Attract investment and iconic events
- Strengthen the visitor economy
- Create vibrant, connected places to live, work and explore
The plan was shaped by the insights of local businesses, industry stakeholders and our community, and aligns with our Community Vision 2034.
Some key initiatives include:
- Expanding Go South Go Local to boost local spending
- Delivering new grant funding programs for innovation and precinct activation
- Unlocking industrial land to drive investment and jobs
- Supporting First Nations business development
- Leveraging our Visitor Centre as a critical economic and tourism asset
This is an exciting time for Onkaparinga. We thank all local businesses, industry stakeholders, and community members who contributed their insights to help shape a strategic plan that sets a strong foundation for our economic and tourism future.
