Project update December 2025

Construction has begun

Exciting news! Construction on the Forsyth Reserve court repurposing has begun. Work will be undertaken between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Please note that access to the work area will be restricted while construction is underway.

It is estimated that construction will be completed in March 2026, subject to weather and circumstances outside of the council's control.

Background

The project will repurpose the long standing hard courts and create recreational opportunities by incorporating a brand new learn to ride bike track, a variety of pavement games and reverting some of the area to irrigated turf.

Two southern hard courts are being retained as community courts which were recently recoated in May this year (2024) incorporating some additional line marking for tennis, netball, pickleball and hot shots.

We would like to acknowledge that these courts were previously home to the former Hackham Tennis Club who occupied the site since approximately 1980. The club folded in 2022 after almost 50 years of successful history of competition and social tennis.
