We are commencing community engagement for the renewal of the playground at Glasgow Park on Glasgow Street, Christie Downs and would like to hear your thoughts on the draft concept plan.

The draft concept plan includes:

Replacement of the existing playground equipment with:

• timber structure play unit
• rocker
• swing set that includes a toddler seat and nest swing

The addition of:

• new asphalt and gravel paths (there will be no changes to the existing bordering concrete paths)
• turf kickabout area
• disc golf area
• picnic table and seating
• drinking fountain with dog bowl
• tree planting of evergreen and deciduous trees.

We are also holding a community drop-in session as listed below to provide an opportunity for you to discuss the plan, provide any feedback and have your questions answered.

It is possible that the community drop-in session may need to be cancelled due to weather conditions. We will assess the situation on the morning of 3 September 2025 and provide notice on this page should the session be cancelled. Please ensure you check for any updates before planning to attend the session.

The renewal is expected to be undertaken within the 2026-27 financial year, subject to approval through council’s annual budget process.
