Community engagement outcomes

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback.

We had 332 visitors to the Your Say page and received feedback on the draft concept plan from 36 community members through the online survey, online quick poll and on site drop in.

The majority of people (82%) who provided feedback online indicated they were happy with the proposed design.
Most liked features included disc golf, new drinking fountain with dog bowl, irrigated kickabout area, and play equipment.

We also received suggestions and requests for changes to the design including a larger playground/more play elements, add a shelter/picnic setting, and improve the disc golf path. We received some requests that are outside the service standard for this park (e.g. public toilets, half-court basketball/netball, pump track).

The design is now being reviewed with consideration to the feedback received and the available budget.

In response to feedback we will investigate changes to the design including:

  • More play elements.
  • A shelter (noting that no additional picnic tables will be included).
  • A more sustainable path treatment for the disc golf area path.

We will share an updated concept plan in early 2026.

The renewal is expected to be undertaken within the 2026-27 financial year, subject to approval through council's annual budget process.
