Playground Opening
We are excited to celebrate the opening of the new Karingal Reserve playground!
With the support of Amanda Rishworth Member for Kingston, Karingal Reserve secured federal government funding of $500,000 towards the upgrade of the reserve.
Karingal Reserve is located at the corner of Cliff Avenue and Jane Street, Port Noarlunga South and the upgraded playground will be an exciting addition to this popular reserve that already provides opportunities for skate and tennis. Karingal Reserve is home to Seaford Storm Netball Club, Seaford Soccer Club, Seaford Rotary Club and Seaford Lions Club.
The new playground features a flying fox, rope climbing tower, a variety of ninja equipment and nature play. There is also a fitness station, new picnic shelter, BBQ (ready for use mid-November), table and bench seats, solar lights along the path, new drinking fountain along with an irrigated turf area and tree planting.
We will be celebrating completion of the new playground with a celebration for local families and community members including food, drinks and face painting, from 11am to 12:30pm on Saturday 16 November 2024 at the reserve. Please view the location map for information on parking on the opening day.
We would like to invite you to join us in celebrating completion of this project.
