We are pleased to announce that the new Seaford Storm Netball clubroom is now complete!

The reserve upgrades, including the high quality playground with equipment for older and younger children, a fitness station and irrigated lawn area are now scheduled to commence in June 2024 and are expected to be complete by the end of August, subject to weather and other matters outside of council’s control.

The reserve, identified in the Open Space Strategic Management Plan 2018-23 as a District Family reserve has reached the end of its asset life and requires an upgrade. The upgrade aims to enhance the reserve's appearance, provide a high-quality playground suitable for use by the broader community and an irrigated lawn area.

With the support of Amanda Rishworth Member for Kingston, Karingal Reserve gained federal government funding of $500,000 towards the upgrade of the reserve, which is subject to a grant application process.

The concept plan includes:

  • New playground equipment: flying fox, rope climbing tower, a variety of ninja equipment, nature play
  • Fitness station
  • New picnic shelter, table and bench seats
  • Solar lights
  • New drinking fountains

Additionally, the state government, with the backing of Chris Picton, Member for Kaurna, will contribute $350,000 towards the construction of a new clubroom within the reserve for the Seaford Netball Club.
