Engagement Outcomes

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback.

Throughout the consultation we had over 240 visitors to the Your Say page. Through the online survey and quick poll, drop-in session, plus emails we received, a total of 59 people shared their thoughts on the draft concept plan.

80% of participants of the online survey supported the concept plan and 12 of the 14 people who completed the quick poll advised the draft concept plan looked great.

We were pleased to see a high level of support for the project, we also received some suggestions for change.

Considering the feedback received, we are currently exploring several changes to the concept plan, pending budget:

• Slide - Review the inclusion of a slide in the design.
• Seat style - Review the seat style to include arms and backrests.
• More toddler options - Review any options to include additional items suitable for toddlers.

We did receive several requests for a public toilet, however as this reserve is identified as a neighbourhood family reserve, provision of toilets is above the service standard for this type of reserve. We also received several requests for a pump track which is outside the scope of the project and will not be included.

We will share an updated concept plan in a few months' time.

Construction for this project is scheduled to take place during the 2025-26 financial year.

Background information

The draft concept plan includes a new playground featuring swings, rockers, a carousel and ninja course equipment. Also a shelter with picnic table, seating, drinking fountain, bike racks and mini Futsal goals on an area of irrigated turf. New trees will also be planted as part of the project.
