Outstanding minor works to be completed before playground can open

We know the new Kimberley Fountain Reserve playground looks finished, but it’s not quite ready to open yet.

Construction began in mid-February and is now almost complete, but the fencing needs to stay up a little longer while some outstanding minor works are completed.

Thank you for your patience — it won’t be long until the playground is ready for everyone to enjoy!

Background information

The draft concept plan included a new playground featuring swings, rockers, a carousel and ninja course equipment. Also a shelter with picnic table, seating, drinking fountain, bike racks and mini Futsal goals on an area of irrigated turf. New trees will also be planted as part of the project.
