Great news! We're upgrading Kings Court Reserve in Onkaparinga Heights.
This reserve was handed to council by the developer to form part of the Open Space provision for the development.
The upgrade is aimed at enhancing aesthetics by adding a vegetated swale for better stormwater management and plant biodiversity. This creates new habitats with complementary plantings, nature-based play elements, and improved maintenance access, aligned with its classification as a Neighbourhood Passive Park in the Open Space Strategic Management Plan 2018-23.
The reserve contains many established trees and garden features including a gazebo and garden beds with rock walls. The concept plan we have developed includes many new features such as:
- new fencing
- nest box
- native bee and insect hotel
- a new vehicle crossover
- seating
View the concept plan here and the frequently asked questions here.
The upgrade is expected to be undertaken within the 2024-25 financial year subject to approval through the City of Onkaparinga’s annual budget process.
