Construction update

Exciting news! Construction of the Lance Hawke Park upgrade is scheduled to start in late October 2024.

Works will be undertaken between 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Unfortunately due to budget restraints, we have had to remove the following items from the final design:

• 2 seats
• 2 sitting boulders

There will however still be ample seating within the park, with a picnic setting and the existing seat to remain.

It is estimated that the construction will be complete during December 2024.

Background

We have developed a draft concept plan that includes a new basketball court, sheltered picnic area, exciting play equipment, and an interconnected path network. Recognised as a Local Family Park in the Open Space Strategic Management Plan 2018-23.

Consultation on the draft concept plan was undertaken in September and October 2023.
