Updated concept plan

Following engagement some changes have been made to the design including:

• changing springer from a helicopter to an animal (snake).
• increased irrigated lawn area.

We have also changed the location of the basket swing, seesaw and springer, plus we have changed the material of the central footpath from compacted gravel to asphalt.

Construction is scheduled to take place during the 2024-25 financial year.

Engagement outcomes

During the consultation, 122 people visited the Your Say page, and 15 people provided feedback on the concept plan through the online survey and drop-in session. The majority of people (86%) participating in the engagement indicated they were happy with the proposed design, while the remaining other participants suggested increasing the lawn area.

Background

We have developed a draft concept plan that includes a new basketball court, sheltered picnic area, exciting play equipment, and an interconnected path network. Recognised as a Local Family Park in the Open Space Strategic Management Plan 2018-23.

Consultation on the draft concept plan was undertaken in September and October 2023.
