Background information
At the June council meeting the City of Onkaparinga approved the commencement of a revocation process for two parcels of land located on the corner of Liguria Crescent and Old Honeypot Road, Noarlunga Downs.
It is proposed to revoke the classification of community land to enable the disposal of the subject land to assist with the construction of approximately 600 new homes across two land parcels to the east and west of Lovelock Drive, Noarlunga Downs. The two land parcels are:
- Parcel one is located at Allotment (Reserve) 49 Liguria Crescent and measures 47sqm.
- Parcel two is located at Allotment (Reserve) 289 Liguria Crescent and measures 13676 sqm.
The two parcels of land are highlighted in red on the location map. You can also view the Public report - Section 194 (2)(a) of the Local Government Act 1999.
Renewal SA is master planning Noarlunga Downs/Port Noarlunga areas for the South Australian Housing Authority to deliver approximately 600 homes to address South Australia's housing demand. Over the next seven to ten years, it is anticipated this development will provide at least 80 new social houses to be developed.
You can find out more about the housing project from the Renewal SA website.
