To improve mobile phone coverage and high-speed wireless internet in the area, TPG Telecom Limited (TPG) has approached Council with a proposal to lease approximately 80 square metres of land located at the corner of Dalkeith Road and Commercial Road, Seaford Rise, for a period of 20 years. As part of a national technology upgrade, TPG is expanding its telecommunications network to enhance connectivity. The Seaford Rise site has been identified as a suitable location for the installation of mobile antennas and an equipment shelter. If approved, the facility would improve mobile reception and access to high-speed wireless internet services for the local community.
TPG is seeking the lease to construct, operate and maintain a 30-metre-high telecommunications tower and associated infrastructure on the site. We are now seeking community feedback on the proposal before a decision is made.
