Pamela Street

The playspace has been installed

We are pleased to let you know that the playspace and irrigation at Pamela Street Park has been installed.

Please keep in mind social distancing guidelines due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

The trees will be planted in line with our planting season which runs between May to September 2020.

Background

The existing playground and irrigation system at Pamela Park, Happy Valley required replacement. The design included new playground equipment, new seating and an upgrade of the irrigation system.

Community consultation was conducted in November 2019 and the feedback received demonstrated local community support for the draft concept plan, however there was a strong response requesting the inclusion of some play items tailored to older children.

We have reflected the community’s needs and initiated changes to the design by consolidating the two play platforms into one larger piece, which provides a greater challenge for older children and physically challenging climbing options. The revised concept plan is available for viewing in the document library.
