We are currently considering a formal name for two parks in Aldinga Beach located on Greenlees Parade and Periwinkle Drive, separated by Pridham Boulevard (refer to the map in the document library).

From 11 May to 7 June 2021 we asked our communities to identify any existing names or suggested names for the parks. We wrote to residents living nearby, and emailed local community groups seeking their input.

We received a number of suggested names, and will now assess them against the criteria outlined in council’s Place Naming Policy. We are also considering whether an Aboriginal name may be appropriate for the reserve.

All suitable name options will be presented to elected members in a report to Council scheduled for August. Council will determine which names will progress to the second stage of community engagement.
