What happens now?
We will continue to work closely with the Port Noarlunga activation operator to prepare for the upcoming summer season to deliver a safe and vibrant 2025/26 Encore Summer Activation Program.
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the proposed new ENCORE Summer Activation at Port Noarlunga.
We received a total of 272 responses, through the online survey, quick poll, emails, and in-person discussions, where 75% of participants expressed support for the activation, recognising its potential to bring vibrancy to the foreshore, and creating economic and tourism benefits for the area.
Although feedback was largely positive, the community also highlighted important areas to consider such as parking, potential noise and safety management, algal bloom impacts, and the need to maintain public access and family friendly experiences. The importance of collaborating with local businesses and ensuring responsible management of alcohol and waste was also raised.
Reflecting the feedback received, the activation will proceed and we’ll work closely with the activation operator to implement site-specific permit conditions to ensure a well-managed quality activation.

As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering quality activations, a letter will be sent to surrounding businesses and residents outlining the activation details a week in advance to the activation commencing in December.
