We are committed to maintaining, operating, and renewing our roads to ensure they meet the community’s needs, as outlined in the Road Network Plan. Regular maintenance, including our Annual Reseal Program, is vital to keeping our road network safe and reliable.

We are planning to resurface a segment of Saltfleet Street, Port Noarlunga between the Esplanade and Witton Road, to improve the road surface and ensure it meets service standards.

What you need to know:
  • Extent of work: The work includes bitumen resealing to improve road quality and safety, you can view the scope in the Extent of Work Plan.
  • Timing: The work will be carried out over two to three nights in May 2026, with the duration of work dependent on weather and unforeseen delays.
  • Detours: Detour routes will be in place. Emergency services and buses will still have right of way.
  • Night work: To minimise disruption, the road will be closed at night from 7:00pm to 5:00am. Businesses and residents with specific needs will be accommodated.
  • Businesses: will remain open as usual during this period and pedestrian access will be available on footpaths on either side of Saltfleet Street car park when it is safe to do so. Car parking will be impacted and vehicles will need to park on adjacent streets. These measures are in place to ensure the safety of both the public and contractors.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve the safety and quality of your roads.
