We are committed to maintaining, operating, and renewing our roads to ensure they meet the community’s needs, as outlined in the Road Network Plan. Regular maintenance, including our Annual Reseal Program, is vital to keeping our road network safe and reliable.
We are planning to resurface segments of Windebanks Road, from west of Robinson Road to Hui-Hui Drive and Easton Road from Windebanks Road to south of Mason Avenue to improve the road surface and ensure it meets current service level standards.
You can view the scope in the Extent of Works Plan. To undertake the work as quickly and safely as possible, road closures will be necessary. These will be staggered to reduce disruption to traffic in this busy area.
Detour routes will be in place while the roads are closed.
What you need to know:
Windebanks Road
- Dates: Windebanks Road will be closed on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 September 2025. This may be changed or extended depending on weather and unforeseen delays.
- Timing: Closed between 7:00pm and 6:00am, reopening after 6:00am each day.
- Detour: While Windebanks Road is closed a detour will be in place via Easton Road, Gundowringa Avenue, Blinkbrae Avenue, Horn Drive and Robertson Road. Please follow the instructions from the traffic controllers and detour signs on site.
Easton Road
- Dates: Easton Road will be closed on Tuesday 9 September 2025. This may be changed or extended depending on weather and unforeseen delays.
- Timing: Closed between 7:00am and 6:00pm, reopening after 6:00pm each day..
- Detour: While Easton Road is closed a detour will be in place via Powell Street, Horn Drive, Wickham Road, Galloway Street and Brinkbrae Avenue. Please follow the instructions from the traffic controllers and detour signs on site.
Emergency services, buses, and local residents will be permitted access through the works site closure as needed under guidance from traffic controllers.
