We are committed to maintaining, operating, and renewing our roads to ensure they meet the community’s needs, as outlined in the Road Network Plan. Regular maintenance, including our Annual Reseal Program, is vital to keeping our road network safe and reliable.

We are planning to resurface a segment of Young Street Reynella from Pembroke Drive intersection to the Expressway bridge to improve the road surface and ensure it meets current service level standards.

What you need to know:

• Extent of works: You can view the scope in the Extent of Works Plan.
• Timing: The works commence Monday 25 August 2025 and will be undertaken as night works over approximately three nights. This timing is greatly dependant on weather and unforeseen delays.
• Detours: Detour routes will be in place, via Grant Road, Panalatinga Road, Main South Road and Lander Road please follow the instructions from the traffic controllers and detour signs on site.
• Night works: To minimise traffic disruption, these works will be undertaken as night works. Full road closures will be required for the night works and will commence at 7:00pm each shift, with the road re-opened no later than 6:00 am each morning. Emergency services, buses, and local residents will be permitted access through the road closure as required.
