Sellicks Beach Viewing Platform - Gulf View Road

Consultation has concluded

A new viewing platform is being installed at the end of Gulfview Road Sellicks Beach.

Construction of the viewing platform is the final stage of a 5 year program to install a vegetative barrier, walking paths and upgrade viewing areas to improve safe public access along the Sellicks Beach Cliffs.

The viewing platform will include the following features;

  • 7m wide X 3m deep raised platform area.

  • Includes 2 X seats built into the structure at each end of the platform

  • Construction

  • Path lead-in raised to the same level of the platform.

The structure will be manufactured using a fully recycled and reclaimed plastic/wood composite material which requires minimal maintenance, is termite resistant and has much longer asset life than the traditional timber structures that have been built along the coast.

We anticipate construction to begin in June 2019, following the analysis of any community feedback and finalising designs.
