Work on the nature playspace continued full steam ahead during March.
Construction of the Hills to Beach water play is almost complete with the sandpit play deck taking shape and planting beds underway.
The junior nature play area is taking shape with the dry creek and new timber crossing being installed. Our contractor has been having fun and hidden a surprise in the creek for the adventurous to find.
The sensory garden is complete. We are looking forward to seeing artworks from Aboriginal artist Allan Sumner appear in the garden soon.
Fabrication of the custom play equipment, Possum Hangout and Farm Village, is complete. Four semi-trailers arrived from Perth and the pieces have started to be installed. The tractor and Farm Village look amazing.
The Cheese Factory Studio Gallery have been busy and their pieces including a xylophone and snellen chart are starting to appear within the playspace.
Installation has also commenced for all the play equipment including swings, seesaws and the double flying fox.

Work on the nature playspace continued full steam ahead during February.
Construction of the Hills to Beach water play is well underway with the sandpit taking shape, dingos cave installed, steps and balance beams carved and planting beds underway. March will see the finishing touches with the installation of the sand play equipment.
Existing shelters have been relocated and the new shelters over picnic areas installed ready for the new barbeques and picnic tables.
The sensory garden commenced and is almost complete. The rock work, log seating and raised planters were installed. We are looking forward to seeing artworks from Aboriginal artist Allan Sumner appear in the garden soon.
Fabrication of the custom play equipment, Possum Hangout and Farm Village, is ongoing and on track for installation late March. Full completion of the Nature Playspace is expected in mid-2020.

Work in the nature playspace was full steam ahead during January.
Demolition of the old play equipment was completed and the new access road from Wheatsheaf Road opened to the public. Construction of the second car parking area (Western side) is almost complete and will also soon be open to the public.
Construction of the Hills to Beach water play commenced with the first row of rocks being placed and the mound taking shape. There are a few more layers to go to reach the final height.
Picnic areas were set out with electrical installed for new accessible double barbeques.
We commenced the set out for play equipment, with the first items taking shape being the flying fox mound and swings areas.
Fabrication of the custom play equipment Possum Hangout and Farm Village equipment commenced and is on track for installation late March.
We are also working on the irrigation system for the new open space area and picnic area next to the Morphett Vale Railway.

Work began with the removal of the old play equipment and constructing the new car park space and access road from Wheatsheaf Road.
Over the Christmas and the New Year period, work ceased but has now recommenced.
The playspace is on track to be completed by mid-2020.
