Nature Playspace - Wilfred Taylor Reserve

FULL STEAM AHEAD!

Work on the nature playspace continued full steam ahead during February.

Construction of the Hills to Beach water play is well underway with the sandpit taking shape, dingos cave installed, steps and balance beams carved and planting beds underway. March will see the finishing touches with the installation of the sand play equipment.

Existing shelters have been relocated and the new shelters over picnic areas installed ready for the new barbeques and picnic tables.

The sensory garden commenced and is almost complete. The rock work, log seating and raised planters were installed. We are looking forward to seeing artworks from Aboriginal artist Allan Sumner appear in the garden soon.

Fabrication of the custom play equipment, Possum Hangout and Farm Village, is ongoing and on track for installation late March. Full completion of the Nature Playspace is expected in mid-2020.
