Character of Willunga

Willunga was surveyed in 1839 and the township was settled within the geographical region of the Mount Lofty Ranges. Willunga was one of the earliest settle areas within South Australia. The historical process of surveying and settlement is visible in the location of the township, street pattern, allotment pattern, construction styles and materials of heritage listed buildings.
