Project update October 2024
Our contractor has installed the slab, structural steel, blockwork, and roofing. The next stages of the project will include installing utilities, services, fixtures, interior finishes, and external paving.
We anticipate project completion by late 2024.

Background
The new public toilet facility is fully funded by the state government and emerged in response to concerns raised by market organisers, stall holders, attendees and local business owners about the lack of convenient access to a public toilet in this area.
The toilet will be constructed with robust blockwork, integrated skylights, bench seating and a door that auto-locks at night.

In conjunction with the Beach Road Streetscape Improvements project, this new toilet is poised to contribute to the overall enhancement of Beach Road for the Christies Beach community.
