Council have finalised design documentation for the Beach Road Streetscape Improvements project. The finalised detailed designs allow us to proceed to tender for construction in early 2024.

With funding support from the State Government, Council expect to be able to deliver upgrades to four nodes (Nodes 1, 3, 4 and 5). These node upgrades have been prioritised due to their prominence in the street and relationship with businesses.

While the remaining node upgrades are unfunded at this time there may be opportunity to deliver these in the future subject to securing additional funding.

Public art for the project has also been finalised with plans for a tipped ice cream sculpture (Whoops!) located at Node 3, a large wall mural at 35 Beach Road adjacent Roy Terrace and a series of footpath inlays that will spread down the street, connecting the nodes.
