We’re excited to let you know that work is kicking off on the Dirt Jumps Community Dig Day project at Quarry Skatepark in Seaford! Have Your Say on the Draft Site Plan!
Your jumps, your way!
A big group of local riders recently told us that the dirt jumps are looking a bit worn out and need some care to make them safe and fun again. Lots of young riders have also said they would love to help fix and shape the jumps themselves — which fits perfectly with the goals of our Community Dig Day program.
This 12-month trial gives local riders the chance to be hands-on in looking after and improving their dirt jumps, while keeping them safe and sustainable for everyone. The dig days are about letting the community lead the work, with the council providing help and support.
After chatting with riders, we have created a draft site plan that rebuilds the jumps to their original shape, with small changes to make them safer and easier to ride. This will involve cleaning up and reshaping the jumps for better safety and flow.
We are asking for your feedback on the current jumps, the plan, and your ideas for improving the dirt jumps at Quarry Skatepark at Grand Boulevard, Seaford. This is your chance to help finalise the design before we start building.
What’s happening now?
Check out the draft site plan and tell us what you think. Help shape the dirt jumps before construction begins!
A community drop-in session is scheduled for Thursday 27 November 2025 3.30 to 5 pm on location at the dirt jumps Quarry Skatepark, Seaford.
Considering the unpredictable weather conditions, it is possible that the community drop-in session may need to be cancelled. We will assess the situation on Wednesday 26 November 2025 and provide notice via this page should the session be cancelled. Please ensure you check for any updates before planning to attend the session.
You can also provide feedback online: Download the site plan and then have your say by completing the 📝 survey.
👉 This project isn’t about building new jumps – it’s about tidying up, reshaping and repairing what’s already there so it’s safer and more fun to ride. So:
- No new jumps will be added, but we might reshape or adjust the current ones to make them safer and better to ride.
- There won’t be any new extras like benches, lights, or toilets.
- No trees will be removed.
- All changes will stay within the current area – no big changes or extensions.
