The most-loved character will join the Storybook Walk public art trail in this peaceful, family-friendly reserve.
Thalassa Park is a favourite spot for families to play, relax, explore, and enjoy the outdoors with a nature-themed playground, BBQ facilities, rose garden, walking trails, and wonderful elevated views.
StoryBook Walk is a highlight of the park, where 17 well-known characters from Australian children’s stories leap off the page as playful sculptures for children to interact with.
This year, a new sculpture is coming, and you get to help choose which story will be featured next.
Four fantastic Australian children’s books have been shortlisted for kids aged 8–12.
Check out the four options below and vote for your favourite book. The story with the most votes will become the next sculpture.
Encourage the young readers in your family, playgroup or school to pick their favourite. We’ll also be visiting local schools to invite students to have their say. Onkaparinga Libraries will have voting slips available too.
We can’t wait to see which story you all choose to become the next sculpture on the trail.
