Gateway 1 is an important entry point to Ramsay Place from the north, accommodating extensive car parking areas and public transport.

Presently, the entry point is unattractive with a concentration of hard surfaces and lacks a sense of place and safety. The upgrade is seeking to transform the entry point into an intimate and welcoming laneway.
