We have been experiencing a number of community complaints this week in regard to delays and traffic impacts.

We appreciate your ongoing support as we work through these challenges.

The current traffic management approach has been implemented to manage several key factors, namely;

• Safety of workers and road users: Ensuring a safe environment for both construction crews and motorists is our top priority.
• Minimising congestion on Main South Road: Westbound traffic on Aldinga Beach Road has been prioritised to prevent queuing and delays extending onto Main South Road.
• Efficient project completion: This approach allows us to expedite work in this complex section, with the goal of restoring two-way traffic as soon as possible.

Next Steps

• Recent works have required traffic management on Aldinga Beach Road to be reduced to one way traffic only. We are actively working to introduce a stop-and-go traffic setup to allow eastbound traffic to resume, balancing safety and traffic flow.
• This change will come into effect from tomorrow, Friday 21 February 2025, with the goal of reducing disruptions, manage safety and maintaining progress on the works.
