August 2025 update

4 August 2025

We have now finalised the detailed drawings for the trail’s construction.

This will allow procurement of a contractor to construct the trail.

The timing of procurement and construction of the Port Willunga North Coast Park remains dependent on successful completion of negotiations with private landowners for public access around the Chinaman Gully section of the approved trail. These negotiations are well progressed and moving forward. It is anticipated that construction works will start in the first half of 2026.

Simultaneously, we are progressing the design for the undergrounding of powerlines and removal of stobie poles, in consultation with SA Power Networks.

Survey markers will be installed in August 2025 to clearly identify the creek crossing and adjacent hill section of the trail alignment. This will help us with more technical assessments and on ground planning for this complex trail section.
