Public Art Treatment for a Beach Road Roundabout

The roundabout on Hunt Crescent and Beach Road, Christies Beach will be the site for a new public art installation later in 2019.

The project will be managed through council's Public Art Framework, with an Onkaparinga Public Art Reference Team formed to shortlist interested artists. This team will include representatives from Christies Beach Primary School and the Christies Beach Business and Tourism Association.

Next steps

We will be updating the roundabout with a ‘dryscapes street treatment’ similar to the treatment at the western end of Beach Road (without vegetation).

The date for the installation of the artwork (towards the end of the year) will be communicated to local residents and businesses as soon as known, along with any traffic disruption/traffic management information.

Future updates will also be shared via the Christies Beach Business and Tourism, on Facebook and on this page.
