Park Upgrade Richards Drive Morphett Vale
Construction update
Exciting news! Construction of the Richards Drive Park upgrade has commenced.
Works will be undertaken between 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. During this time the remainder of the reserve will still be available for public use.
Unfortunately due to budget restraints, we have had to remove the following items from the final design:
- 2 bench seats
- 2 sitting boulders
- 1 sitting log
There will still be ample seating within the park, with several bench seats and a picnic setting.
It is estimated that the construction will be complete during December 2024.
Background
The playground at the park on Richards Drive has been identified for an upgrade.
We developed a concept plan that included a new footpath connection to shared use path, playground equipment, fitness stations, shelter with picnic setting, drinking fountain and seating.
